Maureen's career began in the Automotive Industry in 1983.  She has held positions in both GM and PPG Industries during that time. Her work experience encompasses both engineering and operations management of plants in Missouri, Michigan, Tennessee, Massachusetts and Ohio.  After 7 years as the Plant Manager of 2 plants in Lordstown, Ohio, she took her most recent assignment as the Executive Director for the Global Paint and Polymers Center, Manufacturing Engineering group at GM in August 2005.

In her current position, Maureen's Center includes Paint & Polymer Manufacturing Engineers in 4 regions of the Globe, including North America, Europe, Latin America and the Asia Pacific.  The center operates in and supports approximately 85 facilities in 35 countries all over the world.

Maureen is married to Stephen Midgley (BS Eng Mgmt '82) and has three daughters, Ellen, Shannon, and Jamison.  Maureen is on numerous local boards and is General Motors key executive for Missouri University of Science and Technology.  Maureen was inducted into the Academy in 2007.
