The Department of Chemical & Biological Engineering at Missouri S&T has developed research infrastructure in the form of computational and experimental facilities that allows both students and faculty to pursue research and gain expertise in a specialized area. Our research areas are contemporary and backed by state-of-the-art research facilities. In addition, students have access to the extensive library and computer facilities at the University and to external supercomputer facilities. Research in the department is funded through external grants and contracts from several federal agencies, including the National Science Foundation, the Department of Energy, the Environmental Protection Agency, various agencies within the Department of Defense, by state sources and by a number of companies.
